About Monica Teixeira

I am an Afro-Latina who arrived in the United States from Brazil in 2001 carrying little more than courage, hope, and a deep belief in possibility.

Like many immigrants, I faced limited resources and the heavy barrier of a new language that often felt like it stood between me and connection. But I chose to see that barrier as an invitation to grow.

While juggling work, family, and long nights at the library, I immersed myself in learning the language, the culture, and myself. Along the way, I earned degrees in Psychology and Human Resource Development, and financial licenses and certifications.

However, the most meaningful achievement was discovering my purpose: to lead with authenticity, service, and love for my community. My journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and the understanding that our beginnings do not define our limits.

Service, to me, is rooted in care, inclusivity, and integrity. It is about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to become their fullest selves.

I believe authentic leaders honor both strength and vulnerability, build honest relationships, and work collaboratively to create meaningful, lasting changes.

Throughout my career, I have translated complex ideas into clear insights, bridged communication gaps, and nurtured teams grounded in trust, equity, and shared purpose.

Guided by my core values—faith, care, authenticity, commitment, and innovation — I strive to serve with compassion and a growth mindset. My heart is in work that improves lives, honors diversity, and uplifts our collective humanity.

I am grateful for where I started, proud of who I have become, and excited to keep building a future where we can grow, learn, and thrive together as a community.
